Naples Fishing Charter Regulations
One of the challenges of fishery in the Naples area is the ever changing rules and regulations that establish the times of year each fish species can be caught, the minimum size and the daily limits per fishing boat or per angler.
Naples Fishing Permits
Last week John B. from Minnesota really wanted to catch a Red Grouper, but Red Grouper is closed to boats with federal fishing permits. However, we were still able to accommodate John. The Ms. B. Haven fishing charter fleet
has 3 recently restored and overhauled inshore and offshore truly custom guide boats designed to fish SW Florida waters. The Ms. B. Haven & The Fish Hunter both have Federal Fishing permits, but John fished with Captain Steven on the Fish Hunter 2, which does not have federal permits by design. And as you can see from the photo, the trip was a success!
Many Naples fishing charters only have 1 charter boat with one set of fishing permits, which means these captains are only able to follow a single set of regulations. If you, as a customer want to catch a certain species of fish, these 1-boat operations may not be able to accommodate your request due to that fish species being closed.
