Naples Inshore Fishing Charter

Calm backwaters await you in the many brackish (saltwater) intercostals waterway, bays, and creeks…some only navigable during high tides. This water is shallow and provides for some exciting fishing

Fish you are likely  to catch include:

  • Ladyfish
  • Sheepshead
  • Catfish

Drift past the mangroves while casting your lure to a possible fish of a lifetime.  Shrimp is  the  bait of  choice for backwater fishing . We sometimes catch and  use  live  bait  fish depending on the season.

Backwater enables the angler  to experience the  mangrove forest while they observe its wildlife…

You  may  wish  to also bring  a  bottle  of  wine,  cheese crackers beer, a sandwich  or lunch. Capt Mike will provide complimentary water and soda

Trips aboard the MS. B. Haven are for 4, 6 and  8  hours and  may accommodate up to 6 people, (However we recommend  4 people). 

Capt  Mike    will always  be  the  judge  of  the  weather condition on the  day  of  your  trip.
Temperature, winds, tides, fronts and storm warning are always monitored by the captain.  If weather is adverse, he reserves the right to change the direction of your trip to backwater.  Additionally, sometimes  Capt  Mike might suggest  fishing  more  backwater than Gulf fishing , if he has  knowledge that a specific  fish is  biting  hot that day!
