To a prospective customer looking for fishing guide in Naples, Florida,

If you’re in the Naples area and are looking for an experienced, very likeable and trustworthy Tarpon fishing guide, I highly recommend Captain Mike Bailey. I recently hired Captain Mike for our first Tarpon fishing trip and I am glad that I did. He put us on huge fish. Just like he said he would!

My son, good friend and I were very satisfied with the memory filled day we shared with Captain Mike on our first Tarpon fishing trip. Captain Mike worked very well with my fifteen year old son Eric as he skillfully guided him into landing a 95 lb. tarpon after a thrilling 40 minute fight with that fish! Wow! What an experience, one we will never forget. On our way back to the marina, Captain Mike gave us a brief Eco Tour as we witnessed him actually call a bald eagle from its perch on a distant tree and fly near the boat. The eagle and its mate flew close enough for you to take unforgettable photographs of these majestic birds. What’s more, I spotted a dolphin surfacing in the harbor. And before I knew it Captain Mike was able to attract them to his boat! The dolphins were actually jumping near the back of his boat within its wake! We were thrilled with the experience and have fantastic photos to enjoy forever. It put a cap on a great day!
I have hired many fishing guides in the past and I have to say Captain Mike was top notch. If you and your family are looking for a great fishing guide, I encourage you to hire a professional…Captain Mike Bailey! You’ll be glad you did!

Sincerely,
Mike Lahti

Capt. Mike,

I wanted to thank you for the fishing trip of a lifetime. I've looked forward to catching a tarpon for as long as I can remember and I thank you for making it happen. At 7' 170-180 pounds 2 hrs on the line I feel like that is a trophy i may never beat, my back arms and shoulders are still sore. I had a great time on the boat and felt like I was fishing with a friend. Everything on your website is exactly what i experienced and i can't wait to get back.
I've attached some pictures, these are the best ones, actually the one you took with my phone turned out pretty good. Thanks agian, and feel free to call if you need anything from me.

Man I sure like this time of year, fishing in Naples, FL is great for Snook , Tarpon and Sharks have been plentiful. There have been some large Permit around the offshore wrecks, aswells as the Spanish mackerel and King fish mostly near shore. We have been catching a large number of them on light tackel and live bait that you can not go wrong with this time of year, providing steady action!

P.S - Here are some pictures of the recent catches.

Mike - a quick note to say thanks again for the great time we had w/ you on Wednesday morning. The weather was great and the fish were plentiful. We picked the right Capt. for us and will be loyal return customers in the future. I'll be passing your name around up here to my fishing buddies and hopefully send some more business down to ya. Looking forward to seeing you again soon - I'll keep you posted on when I'll be back so that we can connect on a good moon / tide cycle.

My Naples fishing charters have been enjoying some great catches in the 10,000 Islands area. The water has warmed up quite a bit! Trout has been great and there is plenty of Pompano, Whiting on light tackle. Also a mix bag of Mangrove Snapper, Ladyfish, and Sheepshead. I did have one day this week with several mediocre size Snook, it wont be long until spring is here and they are just a flourishing.

We have had the best weather and warmest water for the Christmas / New year that I have seen in the last twenty plus years. Inshore I have been catching trout, pompano, whiting, and there have been a few small tarpon around. Offshore, mangrove snapper, lane snapper, black grouper, spanish and king mackerel. If it stays like this it will be an early spring with the larger tarpon showing up just around the corner. It looks like 2009 will be a great fishing year.
Tight Lines and Happy New year,
   -Capt Mike
